ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — As the heat rolls into the Capital Region on Tuesday, temperatures are expected to reach the 90s. With humidity, it could feel over 100 degrees outside.

Residents around the area should take precautions to keep themselves safe and cool. If you don’t have air conditioning, several places are offering cooling stations throughout the week to help beat the heat. Many places have pools and splash pads as well for residents to use.

Albany

Spray Pads

  • Black Lives Matter Park
  • Colonie St. Park
  • Hackett Park
  • Lincoln Park
  • North Swan St. Park
  • Rosemont Park
  • Sheridan Park
  • Westland Hills Park

The spray pads are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. this week. Albany Public Libraries branches will also be open (except Wednesday for Juneteenth) if residents need a place to cool down.

Troy

Cooling stations

Open from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

  • Rensselaer Park Elementary School, 70 110th Street
  • Historic Market in Little Italy, 5th Avenue, Liberty, and Hill Streets
  • Lansingburgh Boys and Girls Club, 113th Street and 4th Avenue

    • During regular hours

Halfmoon

Halfmoon Town Hall will be open as a cooling station from June 18 to June 21 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Water and light snacks will be offered.

Schenectady

  • Hon. Karen B. Johnson (Central) Library, 99 Clinton Street in Schenectady
    • June 18 and June 20 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Bethesda House of Schenectady, 834 State Street in Schenectady
    • June 18 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
