I fell into "addiction" with co*ke during lockdowns....then, it kept going after life opened up again, but I couldn't deal with how life changed, so I kept having my drinking nights with the buddies a few times a week, which always included getting a baggy to keep the (boring) night going.
I never thought I had an addiction, because my work was fine, I was staying fit...plus being single, I had no reason to not do these things.
But....for at least a year I was hating myself each night I did the routine. I wanted to change. I knew what I wanted to accomplish but the world was pissing me off every day, so...I'd go back..drink, snort, F off, and feel like sh*t!
I was at the brink to make changes...I didn't like the lifestyle, or the "friends". I was miserable! Basically trying to murder myself each night I went home with a baggy and vodka.
I had a trip planned to get me out of town and break away from the routine. "One last night", and I was going to get my life in order....
That "last night" I went berserk.....ended up in jail that night. Pretty sure I was given something in a drink(plus I had my baggy I kept hitting on), because I acted so maniacal. But, If I hadn't gone to that bar that night.....I wouldn't have destroyed my life and fighting a massive legal situation that has me massively in debt and unsure of my future.
I blame it all on co*ke.....
If you're concerned and haven't stopped.......F'ing stop before something really bad happens that you had no idea could happen!
I'll add....after a few days in jail I actually felt more positive(weirdly). The co*ke destroys happiness...until you get more. co*ke made me feel way more negative than I should've

Hey!
Loved the video - Had no idea about the midfacial osteonomy and loved the thoroughness in describing the nasal passages!
Just thought that some things to add to the topic could be;
How cocaine can trigger long lasting changes through deltafosb overexpression, it mediates sensitisation. Thinking that both the dopamine model and the deltafosb-mechanism affect neurons in the nucleus acumbens (involved in motivation) and effectivize and strengthen synaptic pathways in between. Wouldn't surprise me to see neuronal pruning playing along with the strengthened behavioral circuits in more severe addictions.
Am I mistaken, doesn't smoking cocaine equate to smoking it's freebase - Crack?
Doesn't it have some even more severe effects due to the quick uptake into the brain-tissue addictionwise?
A bit like oxycodone contra heroin.
Love your content!

@@ThugNerd I doubt it, because it really depends on the substance and who produced it/prepared it for sale.
Clean heroin for instance is a very different beast from street heroin.
The more chemical processing, the more this rings true for illegal drugs in general. When gov clamps down, it tends to get even worse as substitute precursors are used.
The war on drugs has always been a war on rights. The only succesful drug policy is one that understands both sides of the coin, and chooses respectfully to limit damage to people and society.
A war on drugs will never, ever fit that bill.

This is my story I’m 27 rn
Both my parents were diagnosed with cancer 2 years ago
I fell into a deep depression and I became a extreme addict
Sometimes consuming an ounce within 2-3 weeks.
It was nonstop,
Sometimes I didn’t sleep for 3 days, and I felt my body physically deteriorating and sometimes I felt like I was close to death.
I have probably spent 70-80k in the past few years on it and I’m prepared to quit. I’m attending rehab soon but all my best friends do it from time to time
I know I probably need to but I can’t imagine leaving them all because they’re friendship of many years.
I’ve been suicidal on and off over the past few months but I hope I can make it

I was addicted to cocaine since I was 14 years old. I have been clean for 2 years now(also quit fentanyl) and I have never been happier. I always thought being sober would be miserable, but it is the complete opposite. I work out every day, I feel energetic and confident, I sleep 8 hours a night, and my severe anxiety is completely gone. To anyone struggling with addiction I promise you the hell of withdrawal is a microscopic inconvenience compared the reward you get at the other end. Just know the pain ends and happiness begins.
@EQ707
That’s scary how easy it is to get at that young of age. Stay sober.
