Rear Admiral Tim Gallaudet, PhD, US Navy (ret)'s article below also exposes the fragility of the liquid fuel supply chain for one of the United States's closest allies- 95% of Australia's liquid fuel comes from overseas. I am actively trying to convince the ADF to consider using LNG / diesel dual fuel technologies for their warfighting assets - LNG is a home-grown alternative for Australia, and the technology is "Commercial Off-The-Shelf" in most cases.
